Q.95. How does the moral law apply to all human beings?

A. The moral law reveals the holy nature and will of God to all humans[1] and obliges them to live by it.[2] It also reveals to them the sinful pollution of their nature, hearts, and lives, which shows them they are unable to keep it.[3] The moral law also humbles human beings with the recognition of their sinfulness and misery[4] and thereby gives them a better awareness of their need for Christ[5] and for the perfection of his obedience.[6]
