Q.166. Who should be baptized?

A. Those who are not members of the visible chur ch and so are not included in the covenant of promise should not be baptized until they profess their faith in Christ and obedience to him.[1] However, the infants of one or both parents who do profess their faith in Christ and obedience to him are by that relationship included in the covenant and should be baptized.[2]
