Q.11. What is the evidence that the Son and the Holy Spirit are equal with the Father?

A. The Bible clearly indicates that the Son and the Holy Spirit are God, equal to the Father, because it assigns to them the same names,[1] attributes,[2] works,[3] and worship[4] that properly apply only to God.

1. Jeremiah 23:6 [6] In his days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell securely. And this is the name by which he will be called: ‘The LORD is our righteousness.’
Psalms 45:6 [6] Your throne, O God, is forever and ever.
  The scepter of your kingdom is a scepter of uprightness;
Isaiah 6:3 [3] And one called to another and said:
  “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts;
  the whole earth is full of his glory!”
Isaiah 6:5 [5] And I said: “Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts!”
Isaiah 6:8 [8] And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am! Send me.”
John 12:41 [41] Isaiah said these things because he saw his glory and spoke of him.
Acts 28:25 [25] And disagreeing among themselves, they departed after Paul had made one statement: “The Holy Spirit was right in saying to your fathers through Isaiah the prophet:
1 John 5:20 [20] And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
Acts 5:3-4 [3] But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back for yourself part of the proceeds of the land?
[4] While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, was it not at your disposal? Why is it that you have contrived this deed in your heart? You have not lied to man but to God.”
2. John 1:1 [1] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Isaiah 9:6 [6] For to us a child is born,
  to us a son is given;
  and the government shall be upon his shoulder,
  and his name shall be called
  Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
  Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
John 2:24-25 [24] But Jesus on his part did not entrust himself to them, because he knew all people
[25] and needed no one to bear witness about man, for he himself knew what was in man.
1 Corinthians 2:10-11 [10] these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.
[11] For who knows a person’s thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
Hebrews 9:14 [14] how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to serve the living God.
3. Colossians 1:16 [16] For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.
Genesis 1:2 [2] The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
Psalms 104:30 [30] When you send forth your Spirit, they are created,
  and you renew the face of the ground.
John 1:3 [3] All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4. Matthew 28:19 [19] Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
2 Corinthians 13:14 [14] The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
